SPRINGFIELD, IL (May 20, 2019) - Fifth Street Renaissance/SARA Center held their annual meeting on May 20th. At this meeting, the organization presented CORAL with their Community Partnership Award in recognition of the numerous initiatives and events collectively pursued by these two groups. "It was a perfect evening" noted Jim Barr, the President of CORAL. "We (members of CORAL) look forward to working with you on your many projects. You help make each day a little brighter for so many." Established in 2000, the Coalition of Rainbow Alliances (CORAL) is a non-profit volunteer group that facilitates networking for the Central Illinois lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities, all other sexual and gender minorities, their family and friends, and the organizations that support them.
