The Ritz
The Ritz gala dinner is one of the largest events held annually for the central Illinois lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community. In its seventh year, The Ritz is a casually elegant affair that features a three-course dinner, an evening of dancing, and a celebration of the progress made by the LGBT community during the past year.
Our 2025 theme was "Words To Live By." As the old saying goes, "words will never hurt me," but they do have power based on how they are used and interpreted. There are those words that lift us all and make us better people. This year, we want those words to be heard loud and clear as we face an unknown future.
Our 2026 theme is "Sharing the Vision." CORAL's vision has always been to build a LGBTQ inclusive community, but the past year has made us change our focus to include any and all who may be facing exclusion, and we invite them all to be a part of our mission as we face an uncertain future.
