SAA and CORAL Paint Another Street

Springfield, IL (June 28, 2025) The morning may have begun with some wet pavement but that was simply Mother Nature’s way of “cleaning the slate” before attendees arrived to place their mark.  On a sweltering Saturday morning, the Springfield Art Association kicked off their 12^th annual “Paint the Street” event with over 180 6 x 6 squares over two blocks of downtown Springfield.

Beginning at 11:00 a.m. and ending at 7:00 p.m., artists met to show off their talents as well as compete if they chose, but everyone walked away winners for the day.

CORAL proudly painted their logo and each ‘artist’ signed the finished product with their signature hand print to show their appreciation.  And, just for fun, pretend they needed major equipment for the job.
