Springfield, IL (June 16, 2022) CORAL and the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes baseball team came together on a hot, steamy evening to celebrate Pride month with a win for all.
Not only did the “Shoes” win their game against the Lafayette Aviators 3-1 but CORAL made their presence known throughout the night. The evening began with a table presentation for all attending where we passed out information, sold shirts, and gave away free beanie babies. Before the game started, a Pride parade was conducted around the infield and Pride flags were passed out to the spectators amongst the stands. Later, several free shirts with our logo and Pride Night printed on them were thrown into the stands as well. And for all the children present, at the beginning of the fifth inning, a race was held in support of First Responders.
All in all, it was a great turnout and a first of many joint ventures we hope to have with the Lucky Horseshoes as we look forward to working with them again.
