Greenville IL (April 25, 2026) If at first you don’t succeed, you try again. That was Bond County Pride’s motto for this year as they successfully orchestrated their first Pridefest in Greenville on Saturday, April 25th from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Last year, Bond County Pride were forced to cancel their event due to negative publicity and a lack of security for attendees. They made the tough decision to hold off on their event and had a smaller Pride Picnic later in the year. That was not the case this year.
Located in downtown Greenville, on the newly renovated Plaza on Second, approximately 30 vendors lined the streets for the day. Around 3:00 p.m. a parade of attendees including many CORAL members who made the haul down to support the event, strolled around the block chanting “Happy Pride.” Later in the evening, a drag show took place on the central stage.
CORAL was very happy to make the trip down and show our support for yet another Pridefest and hope to see many more for Bond County in the years to come.
