AgeLinc/PrideLinc Have Great Turnout for their Annual Mardi Gras

Springfield, IL (February 25, 2023) Fat Tuesday may have been earlier in the week but Saturday was the day to join AgeLinc/PrideLinc for the French Quarter festivities. Over 300 people, dressed in purples and golds, gathered at the Crown Plaza for cajun cuisine, dancing, and to raise funds for the senior services AgeLinc/PrideLinc offer.

AgeLinc/PrideLinc is a non-profit agency that receives funding at the federal and state level to provide a variety of services for older adults. Working directly with the Illinois Department of Aging, they serve all of the Central Illinois’ counties by funding such needs as transportation, nutrition, education, as well as support for caregivers and the LGBTQ community. They are dedicated to helping this demographic to maintain dignity, health, and independence.

CORAL was a gold sponsor for the event and was happy to lend their support with two tables for the event as well. While no one from CORAL’s group may have been crowned the king and queen this year, we all felt like royalty for the evening.
