Springfield, IL (February 27, 2023) In honor of Women’s History Month, CORAL will be highlighting a woman who changed history for the LGBTQ community each day of March. From Billie Jean King to Edie Windsor, all thirty-one of these women left their mark in one way or another to be remembered for what they accomplished in their respective fields of expertise and the LGBTQ community.
Some of these women may not be known as well as they should be, such as Brenda Howard who is considered the mother of all Pridefests or Edythe Eyde who founded the first Lesbian publication in the United States, CORAL wants to show that women have always played a strong role in advocating for the LGBTQ community as well as playing by their own rules.
