Springfield, IL (December 24, 2022) Several members of CORAL joined others from Heartland MCC and Chatham United Methodist to prepare holiday meals for those who are unable to get out or have no one to spend the holidays with. All meals will be delivered by volunteers on Christmas morning around the Springfield area.
Members of CORAL, Heartland MCC and friendly donors provided the funds and food items for the meals and Chatham United provided the location for both Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. With over 200 meals prepared for each holiday, it took many giving volunteers to make this time of the year a little more joyful and memorable for those who need it most.
CORAL wishes to thank all those who participated. Your generosity and kindness meant so much to so many and it was genuinely appreciated.
