Jacksonville, Illinois (June 1, 2024) In only their second year, Jacksonville Pride held their annual Pridefest on the first day of Pride month with double the number of vendors from last year. CORAL couldn’t make it to their first year’s event due to other events scheduled but were happy to be there this year with a donation of $500.00 for their efforts. All funds received by Jacksonville Pride for the event were donated to Equality Illinois.
Held at Twisted Tree Music Hall in Jacksonville, the venue offers not only climate controlled indoor space for the vendors but also an indoor stage for performances, a bar and sitting area, as well as an entertaining outdoor area. The day began at noon and ran till 5:00 p.m. with several other vendors such as Memorial Health, PCASA, Phoenix Center, and Fifth Street Renaissance.
Blaize Stewart, the organizer of the event, stated that he’s happy to see the event growing this year and is hopeful that each year it will double in size. To all future vendors, entry to the event is free but donations are welcome. CORAL is looking forward to being there again next year.
I truly enjoyed the event and look forward to watching it grow
